Programs

Four labs.
One mission.

Every Think Tank Kids program is built around the same core journey: students learn real skills, build something tangible, and pitch it to business professionals. Here is exactly what that looks like.

Program Orientation

What to Expect

Everything you need to know before your inventor begins their journey.

Each Lab Is an 8-Week Program

Every lab runs for 8 weeks, with one 2-hour session per week. Kids progress through weekly missions in their Innovation Journal, building toward a final showcase. Start with Idea Lab — it's the foundation for every invention that follows.

Every Lab Ends with a Business Panel

No exceptions. Each lab culminates in a Pitch Day where kids present their work to a panel of real business and community leaders. They get genuine feedback, build confidence, and experience what it feels like to be taken seriously as a young innovator.

One Flat Price — Everything Included

$300 per child per 8-week lab covers all 8 sessions, the Innovation Journal, building materials, and the Pitch Day graduation event. Lock in our limited-time introductory rate, and save 10% on each child when siblings enroll together.

Hosted Across Durham Region

Programs are held at local libraries and community centres throughout Ajax, Pickering, and Whitby. Specific locations will be released when we launch our first lab.

The Four Labs

Each lab is an 8-week mission — not a class. Kids progress through a structured journey from idea to pitch, starting with Idea Lab.

01

Idea Lab

Become an Idea Detective

Every amazing invention starts with one simple question: "What if this worked better?" Kids become Idea Detectives, searching for real-world problems at home, at school, and in their communities. Through fun challenges, creative thinking, and teamwork, they'll discover that the best ideas don't come from luck — they come from paying attention.

Young Innovator Outcome

Create your very first Problem Solver Blueprint — a big idea ready for its next adventure.

02

Brand Builder Lab

Create a Brand Everyone Will Remember

What if your invention had its own name, logo, and story? Every great invention deserves an unforgettable brand. Kids transform their ideas into something people would actually want by designing logos, packaging, mascots, advertisements, and more. Along the way, they discover that brands aren't just logos — they're stories that make people smile, remember, and connect.

03

Innovator Lab

Turn Your Big Idea Into Something Real

Can your invention become a real business? Let's find out! Kids become entrepreneurs as they build a mini-business around their invention. They'll decide who it's for, how much it should cost, and why someone would want it. Through games, teamwork, and creative challenges, they'll learn that businesses exist to solve problems and help people.

04

Pitch Lab

Take the Stage Like a Future Leader

Your idea deserves to be heard. Great ideas only make a difference when people understand them. Kids learn how to speak with confidence, tell powerful stories, answer questions, and share their ideas with pride. The journey ends with an exciting Pitch Day, where they present to a panel of real business and community leaders who celebrate their creativity and hard work.
